There are truly no words to describe the impact Sophia had on the birth of my son. So much happened before the birth even took place. Things came to light that I had no idea was looming over me and hiding inside me until I was in a space, held by Sophia, where I could safely explore and empty.

We talked, cried, split open, softened and healed together; creating sisterhood with each other and curating a sacred place for birth to unfold. It was a holy event full of reverence! Sophia enabled me to experience a birth beyond anything I thought possible- undisturbed, uninterrupted, unbelievable. I will never birth without her!

“We couldn’t have comprehended how impactful having Sophia stay with us for the birth of our daughter would be. There were moments where tears flowed freely and Sophia helped to slow things down so we could see the insights that accompanied any fears that were arising as we neared closer to our babies homecoming.

Sophia has complete trust in birth and the birthing woman which enabled her to support whilst not interrupting, disturbing or projecting onto our experience. She was at complete ease within the intensity and encouraged me to be present in it. Her calmness softened my nervous system while the waves washed over me. She was also able to just be a witness as my partner held me through contractions, never taking away from his supportive role in this space, only aiding in it. We knew we could rest assured that Sophia had our birth intentions at the forefront of her mind, such as ensuring my partner was the one to catch our baby and pass her up to me.
